Sandy Struss, Founder & President

A woman with diabetes...and a microphone!

The visionary behind PeoplewithDiabetes.ca, Sandy Struss has had Type I diabetes for 17 years. An entrepreneur by nature and a motivational speaker by trade, Sandy has an energy and presence that is hard to miss. She has long been involved on the diabetes scene as a volunteer for the CDA and the JDRF, and currently chairs the Type I Injectors support group in Vancouver, BC.

Professionally, Sandy has traveled and spoken to audiences across Canada both at the patient and health practitioner levels, and believes that every single one of us has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others using the gifts we've been given.

A champion of human potential, she specializes in sharing human interest stories that celebrate courage and resiliency, and is currently in the midst of writing her first book, Stories for the Diabetic Soul.
