Vancouver , May 4 Marathon

Spring has sprung in the Shuswap and both Gordon and I are in the mood to as the Vancouver Team Diabetes Marathon poster states : "UNITE for a HEALTHIER CANADA...JOIN TEAM DIABETES at the Vancouver Marathon " ...May 4 , 2008 .
Unfortunately my Brother , whose wife requires eye surgery and has been advised not to travel , had to postpone his participation till Kelowna, October , 2008 Marathon event.
A friend from Vancouver will join Gordon and I for the 8 k walk and all the other Team Diabetes members...look for us in our brightly coloured singlet . please come and CHEER . Team D. Wracks

I will do the walk and wear Carleigh's picture on my back " in Memory of Carleigh , who died , January 2008 at age 23 , due to type 1 diabetes complications " .

With the fifth Team Diabetes event behind me , which included this time my BEST Supporter Hubby Gordon , with the Vancouver marathon , May 4 and about 35 Team Diabetes members we will move forward towards the Kelowna , October 12 Marathon .
It was great to see Alumni Corrine , Kim and Harry (who has done 6 events and will participate in the Easter Island ,June 2009 ...WOWY on the course and meet new friends .
Rebecca and Cara , Team D. staff were busy and seem to enjoy all the excitement ; they take good pictures ....CDA Vancouver office staff put their best feet forward so to speak as well with their participation in the event .
