There are many ways you can participate in advocacy for people in Canada with diabetes. Every voice counts. If each of our 2+ million diabetic constituents takes a small action, it mobilizes us as a force and we stand a chance of being heard at the highest levels of government, as diabetes is now a health issue that impacts all Canadians.

Share Your Story
Right here on this website, you can submit your own personal story as it relates to any of the issues we are working on.Regionally
Join the Canadian Diabetes Association and participate in advocacy initiatives in your area. Meet with or write to your MLA to express your concerns as a constituent with diabetes.Federally
Write to your Member of Parliament in support of the CDA's ask for a National Catastrophic Drug Plan.In Your Community
Participate as a volunteer with the CDA and help raise awareness about diabetes and its complications. Organize a fundraiser with a group of friends and family to raise funds for research. Be open and communicate about what it means to have diabetes, and what is required to manage blood sugars properly.
